Why Scared Games Is Just Another Hype

Scared games a Netflix original series in which roles are played by the very famous indian hollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. The series is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 thriller novel of the same name ‘scared games’.

The plot revolves around yet another story of a gangster and police officer 25 days before an enormous and anonymous tragedy that would hit Mumbai. The gangster Ganesh Gaitonde, out of the blue, calls the officer Sartaj Singh for a grateful thank you in regard to Singh’s father service to Gaitonde and informs him to save his city Mumbai before it is too late. As the count down to the big day begins Sarjat bets his life to solve the mystery of ‘everybody will die except Trivedi’ as suggested by Ganesh the gangster. The series includes flashbacks of the gangster life as well in order to build the story.

Why is it just another hype?

Social media’s most viewed content websites can make anything trendy by simply adding “this is so amazing”. The series ‘Scared Games’ was compared with the famous series “Narcos” that is originally based on life of the successful drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. Well, to save you from disappointment scared games is nothing like Narcos. The season 1 of sacred games does not include twisting plots so far but simple and predictable story telling.

The season was completed with 8 episodes (40-45 minutes each) with few days count day remaining, in short the first season ended at a cliff, the shoot of season two  will start soon. The next season will probably grab more attention as it would include the final day. You can catch up with season 1 by simply asking a friend for highlights and save your 360 minutes (6 hours). On a side note the season includes extreme language and explicit scenes, 18+.
