Why Coke Is Bad For You

A lot of studies have shown that consuming soft drinks everyday can cause a great trouble for you without you even realizing it. You should be aware of what coke does to you! Read the following reasons to understand why you should try to let your love of coke go.

  1. Vitamin Deficiency

Coke contains phosphoric acid along with caffeine, which starts washing nutrients and vitamins out of your body almost 60 minutes after drinking it. Imagine that happening every day. That’s how a vitamin deficiency starts.

  1. Anxiety

Along with sleep deprivation, anxiety is a side effect of consuming more caffeine. Each can of coke contains the same amount of caffeine as a cup of strong coffee. It is also proven to be very addictive, so once you decide to cut your prescribed amount you might experience headaches, tetchiness, weakness and even depression.

  1. Skin Problems

Drinking Coke every day has the same impact on your skin as smoking. Consuming soda has a harmful effect on the body due to high levels of sugar. It dehydrates the skin, and opens a way for fine lines and wrinkles on the face. It accelerates the rate of skin aging by making it voluminous and dreary. It also leads to skin problems such as eczema, dryness and inflammation.

  1. Risk of cancer

We are not saying you’ll get cancer if you drink coke every day. However, due to the presence of benzene molecules in Coca-Cola and its plastic package, doctor’s advise sticking to 1 can of coke a week to lessen the risk of cancer.

  1. Kidney failure

If you think that choosing the diet version of coke is safer, then you are just trying to comfort yourself. But sorry to disappoint but zero sugar coke contains synthetic sweeteners that are actually more harmful than sugar, especially for your kidneys.

I’ll suggest you all to stop drinking coke every day or at least try to minimize it. You might see your health slowly improving so it’s worth a try!
