Sumaira Malik is a very famous and experienced Pakistani Politian who was elected as a Member of National Assembly for 3 consecutive times. She is a strong, well educated, and influential female politician who became example for many women in Pakistan. Throughout her political career she worked a lot for women development as well as youth encouragement.
She is also a writer, she wrote a book named “Dua aur Barish”, and it’s a romantic novel which describes the feelings and life of a girl who believe on her true love. Before joining politics she finished her Master’s Degree in Political Sciences from University of Punjab. She is from a very strong, powerful, & influential family background, she is niece of Ex President of Pakistan Sardar Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, and she is granddaughter of Malik Aamer Mohammad Khan, who was famous as Nawab of Kalabagh.

She started her political career from Millat Party of her uncle Sardar Farooq Leghari in late 90’s. Sumaira was elected as a Member of National Assembly (MNA) for the first time from constituency NA-69, which is Khushab-1. She won the seat from National Alliance of Parties. She held the ministry of tourism from 2002-2007. Second time she was re-elected from same constituency from the platform of PML (Q) in 2008, she was a very strong candidate in NA-69. As an MNA she held Ministry of Women development , as well as Ministry of Youth affairs. In 2013 general elections she decided to contest in general elections from the platform of PML (N). But in October 2013 election commission of Pakistan disqualified her over submitting a fake degree. Same allegations were imposed on her sister in Oct 2013 and she was disqualified as well.

Sumaira Malik was born on December 19th 1963. According to her date of birth she is just under 54 years. Well coming from a very strong political family back ground she maintained her national assembly seat for 3 consecutive times, but unfortunately she was disqualified over fake degree case.
Sumaira’s Husband and Children
She was married to Malik Tahir Sarfraz, he is a social worker, and from this marriage they have 3 children, one of her children became the member of national assembly on the same seat she was disqualified from. His name is Malik Mohammad Uzair Khan who is the sitting MNA from NA_69.
