On Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan wished a Happy Diwali to all the Hindus of the country celebrating the Festival of Lights.
Other government officials followed suit including Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad umar, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, all of whom wished the Hindu community on their festive season which marks Diwali.
And on the border at Wagha Border Pakistani officials gave sweets to the Indian officials. Diwali is a festival celebrated by Hindus globally and it’s marked with lit candles, clean houses, worshipping, visiting friends and family and exchanging gifts and sweets.
Shahbaz Sharif of PML-N also wished the Hindu community on their festive occasion and citied that Hindus are equal citizens of Pakistan.
