Opposition leader of the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), just had a press conference in Islamabad. He criticized the ruling political party, PML-N, and said that all the cabinet ministers of PM Nawaz Sharif are creating a confronting situation with institutions, specially, with Supreme Court of Pakistan. After the report of Panama case JIT, all political leaders are demanding resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“It’s no longer about the article 62 and 63. PM might have to face some jail time over this issue of Panama Papers”, said Khursheed Shah. “He has no right to remain Prime Minister. Nawaz Sharif should have resigned when his name appeared in the Panama Papers. We’re with the institutions and we’ll always support the Supreme Court. We are trying to make the position of Prime Minister stronger. If Nawaz Sharif remains Prime Minister, he’ll weaken the position of Prime Minister. Those who are suggesting him not to resign are not his friends.”
Everyone is demanding PM Nawaz’s resignation. Even his own party ministers of key appointments, Chief Minister of Punjab and PM’s brother, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and the interior minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed, are suggesting him to resign.
