NAB Issued Red Warrants Against Ishaq Dar

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday chose to issue red warrants against former finance minister Ishaq Dar and decided to approach the Interpol for his arrest. This decision was taken at the time of a meeting of the NAB’s Executive Board directed by NAB Chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal. Nab Chairman stated that “Ishaq Dar isn’t experiencing any medical condition that can’t be dealt with in Pakistan. Dar has been pronounced as a proclaimed absconder by the accountability court. On Tuesday, NAB court Judge Mohammad Bashir in a detailed judgment released in regards to the status of Ishaq Dar as an announced offender and former finance minister who is at present in London, does not appear to have a genuine heart condition. He has been assigned as an accused in a defilement reference which claims that “Dar has riches and resources past his known source of income”. Declaired by NAB authority. Earlier this week, the judge had declared Dar a proclaimed offender in a corruption reference initiated against him for possessing assets beyond his sources of income after he repeatedly failed to join the trial, remaining instead in London where he has reportedly been undergoing medical treatment for a heart-related ailment.
