Mushahid Ullah Khan is a welleducated man and has a L.L.B degree from Urdu Law College, University of Karachi in 1997. He belongs from Karachi, Sindh.
Mushahid Ullah Khan’s Political Career
Mushahid was elected as a member of senate during the senate elections of 2015. He will retire in March 2021. He was appointed as the chairman of the Benazir Income Support Programme with the status of federal minister. Currently he is associated with a number of committees of Senate, namely; Finance Revenue Economics Affairs Statistics and Privatization, The Right to Information Bill, 2016, Information Broadcasting and National Heritage, National Food Security and Research and Textile Industry. He currently serves as the chairman of The Performance of PIA and Inter-Provincial Coordination committee.
His political career was surrounded by a little controversy when he was forced to resign in August, 2015 as the Minister for Climate Change. This was due to his interview to the BBC, where he alleged that Zaheer-ul-Islam wanted to overthrow the civil and military leadership of Pakistan during the 2014 Azadi march.
