Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu is a member of the Punjab Assembly from the constituency PP-42 (Khushab-IV) who is currently serving as Chairperson of the Standing Committee for Law in Punjab Assembly. He also served as The Vice President and Zonal Chief of United Bank Limited (UBL) during 1975 and 1997.

Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu, who is the son of Malik Muhammad Sher Kallu, was born on November 1, 1951 at Village Rodha, District Khushab. He obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1976 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore and also passed C.S.S. examination in 1982.

Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu is a practicing lawyer associated with Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), who served as Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07, 2008-13 and also functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Colonies during 2003-07; and as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Privileges during 2008-13. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the third consecutive term in general elections 2013 and is currently serving as Chairperson of the Standing Committee for Law there. He is also a member of the Special Committee No.5 and Special Committee No. 7; and is the chairperson of the Special Committee No. 4 and Special Committee No. 8.
