Mr. Jafar Shah is a politician of middle age and is on senior post of Khyber Pakthunkhwa Assembly whose tenure span of year 2013 till date. He is affiliated with Awami National Party. He is working for the constituency of PK-85 Swat-VI. He is been working for the General Seat. He has always raised his voice on public issues. He is very down to earth.

Mr. Jafar Shah is also working as Committee Chairman of Standing Committee No. 34 on Labour Department. He is also serving at various other departments as committee member including Standing Committee on Capacity Building Abroad, Standing Committee on Friends of Scotland, The Provincial Assembly of KPK (Salaries and Allowances of Members, Public Accounts Committee, Standing Committee No 31 on Energy and Power Department, Public Accounts Committee and Right to Information.
