Imran Khan Gets Clean Chit in Contempt of Court Case

The honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan was scheduled to hear the petition filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018, in which he accused PTI chief of making deprecatory remarks against the former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

The petition was filed in front of the three-member bench, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar. The counsel of petitioner Hashmat Habib told the bench that his client is unable to reach and can’t be contacted, after which three-member bench decided to dispose of the petition as there was no legal strength was left in the petition.

On the other hand, the supreme court is also scheduled today to hear the contempt of court petition against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Iftikhar Chaudhry.
