How to Attest College/University Degree in Pakistan

HEC (Higher Education Commission) is the regulatory body responsible for regulating everything related to higher education in the country. Attested copies of  certificates means a candidate can apply to universities in the world, the relevant degrees need to be attested by the HEC for it to be accepted all over the world.  Following is the process:

  • An online profile can be created at http://das.hec.gov.pk to start off the process of the degree attestation.
  • Fill in the form and submit. The incomplete information in the form is not accepted by HEC.
  • A feasible date is to be reserved for the attestation at an HEC office location of choice.
  • In case a suitable date is unavailable the offices at metropolitans can be visited to avail tokens that are given on daily basis.

Without the following original documents, certificate attestation procedure cannot be start:

  1. Matriculation certificate or Equivalent level certificate issued by IBCC along with its certificates. Matric certificate verification online can also be done though HEC website.
  2. Intermediate certificate (Sanad)/Equivalent level certificate issued by IBCC along with its certificates.
  3. Bachelor degree along with DMCs/Transcripts. In case of foreign qualification, please provide the equivalent level degree certificate issued by the Equivalence Section of Higher Education Commission.
  4. Master degree along with DMCs/Transcripts. In case of foreign qualification, please provide the equivalent level degree certificate issued by the Equivalence Section of Higher Education Commission.
  5. MS/MPhil degree along with DMCs/Transcripts. In case of foreign qualification, please provide the equivalent level degree certificate issued by the Equivalence Section of Higher Education Commission.
  6. PhD degree along with DMCs/Transcripts. In case of foreign qualification, please provide equivalent level degree certificate issued by the Equivalence Section of Higher Education Commission.
Take a set of photocopies of the original documents as mentioned above.

A readable copy of Computerized National Identity Card or Passport is a must.

The attestation fee for each original document is Pkr 800 and 500 for each photocopy.
