Government Cuts Petroleum Prices For The Month Of April

The government of Pakistan has decided to reduce the prices for petroleum products for the month of April after reshuffling the rates for petroleum products. According to the ministry of finance and petroleum, the new prices will be effective from 12:00 am on April 1st.

The government has decided to reduce the price of Petrol by Rs, 2.07 to stand on Rs 86 per liter from Rs 88.07 per liter, similarly, the price for High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs 2.0 to stand at Rs 96.45 per liter from the previous price Rs 98.45per liter. On the other hand prices for Kerosene oil and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) will remain the same for the month of April at Rs 76.46 per liter for kerosene oil and 65.30 per liter for LDO.

This price change is the result of reshuffling price of petroleum products by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority(OGRA) Pakistan. OGRA recommended a greater price reduction but the government has decided to reduce the prices by Rs 2.07 per liter for Patrol & Rs 2.0 per liter for diesel.
