Facebook To Launch ‘Delete Message’ Option Soon Like Whatsapp

If there has been a single great invention for 2017, it definitely has to be the delete message option for sent messages in Whatsapp. It certainly has made life a lot easier and panic free. And thanks to that, Facebook is also to follow suit soon, in its messenger app where we can easily delete sent messages and have them disappear from the internet forever even if the receiver has received them.

It holds a time limit of 10 minutes after which they became a permanent part of the internet unless both the parties delete it. The message contained in messenger’s latest version reads:

Coming soon: Remove a message from a chat thread after it’s been sent. If you accidentally send the wrong photo, incorrect information or message the wrong thread, you can easily correct it by removing the message within 10 minutes of sending it.”

Well that’s a sigh of relief, although unlike an hour for WhatsApp they decided they will give only 10 minutes for messenger. They might increase the time limit for messenger too, like they did previously for WhatsApp from 7 minutes in 2017 to an hour in 2018. For now, however, we are just delighted by the new feature.
