We all know Breaking Bad as the super hit series that came to an end in 2013, but now this franchise is going to end its five-year break as the filmmaker, Vince Gilligan is now working on the feature film for Breaking Bad.
With this one in the making, Gilligan will pen the script, executive produce and possibly direct as well, which is expected to be filmed in New Mexico! The movie will also have producing alums Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein from the AMC original series as the spin off ‘Better Call Saul’.
Starring Bryan Cranston as Walter H. White, Breaking Bad was set in Albuquerque where Walter, the high school chemistry teacher is diagnosed with lung cancer, and then he teams up with Aaron Paul, played by Jesse Pinkman, to produce and sell methamphetamine.
The Hollywood Reporter calls it “unclear” if the 2 hour movie would kick off with a theatrical release or if t’s intended to go directly on TV, and the Breaking Bad studio Sony Pictures Television is yet to make a statement on this so we can only speculate on this at the moment!
What do you think about this news? Are you Breaking Bad fan awaiting this release, or are you disappointed with this production? Feel free to share!
