Ghazi is a town located in Haripur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The town has an administrative status of a Tehsil which further has 8 Union Councils working under its jurisdiction. The area compromises of people from different ethnic backgrounds. The major language spoken in the area is Hindko by almost 70% of the population, followed by Pashto which is the second most spoken language in the region by nearly 28%. Other languages spoken in the area include Punjabi and Urdu, though at a very minor scale.

The population of Tehsil Ghazi according to the recent population consensus of 2017 totalled up to 145,367 inhabitants. The Haripur District in itself is known famously for being home to two very important water reservoirs, which are, Khanpur Dam and Tarbela Dam. These dams automatically pave way for water availability thus making agriculture the most common method of earning in the region.         The literacy rate of the area is above 50% which is above than a lot of other places in the country.

There was also a recent agreement between the Pakistani and Malaysian government, that a Malaysian company will setup a Halal food factory in Ghazi. Owing to the growing education and industrial sector, a lot of banks have opened up in the area, here is a list of them:
