Besides Ranbir Kapoor, We’re Starstruck By ‘Sanju’ Cast!

If you haven’t already checked out the trailer for Sanjay Dutt’s biographical ‘Sanju’ starring Ranbir Kapoor by Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the best films of the last decade ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’. I suggest you drop everything and go check it out and see Ranbir knocking it out of the park once more.  ‘Pk hai kya’ should have been saved for this movie instead (you know exactly what I mean)

However it’s not just Ranbir Kapoor stepping into the shoes of another actor, a bunch of other famous Bollywood actors and actresses are also going to be lighting up the movie playing well-known people!

1. Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor is to be seen in the role of Tina Munim, an actress Sanjay dated back in the days. Also she was the first costar to Sanjay.  Well we all remember the song ‘Kya yahi pyaar hai’. It’ll be interesting to see ex-lovers Sonam and Ranbir playing ex-lovers from the 80’s on-screen.

2.  Manisha Koraila

If you’re a nineties kid, you can’t deny knowing this face very well from every freaking Amir Khan movie ever. Manisha will play the legendary actress Nargis, who also happens to be Sanjay’s mother. We can see the resemblance!

3.  Anushka Sharma

I don’t know if she’ll friendzone poor Ranbir again, but she is said to be seen in a role of well-known journalist who made Sanjay’s life hell by asking a lot of tough questions.

4. Karishma Tanna

Well there can’t be a Sanjay Dutt biopic without Madhuri Dixit. This former Big Boss runner-up is all set to play the dancing diva, although I’m not so sure if she is the best they could get, we can only hope she does justice to the queen of our hearts!

5. Dia Mirza

Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt is to be played by this cute and bubbly actress from the song ‘zara zara bahekta hai’.

6. Jim Sarbh

Although you probably haven’t heard about this actor, you might have spotted him in Padmaavat. However the mega movie star he’s playing is none other than our very own Salman Khan.

I don’t know how his role in Padmaavat (ahem) prepped him for this role, we can only hope he nails it because we are very precious about our Sallu bhai.

7. Paresh Rawal

Our favourite sarcastic comedian is all set to bring life to Sanjay Dutt’s dad, Sunil Dutt.

8.  Boman Irani

Sanjay Gupta, the director of kaante will be played by the funny Boman Irani.

9. Tabu

And lastly veteran actress, Tabu will play herself. Because we agree no one has the acting chops to do it justice but you.

And here’s Ranbir again in  an uncanny resemblance!
